Posting a Painting a day

Leaving Home
Leaving Home not for sale

This was when I was still using oil paints. (My body was shot after chemo and I just could not stand the fumes and "water soluable" oils are no good, seriously, they never seem to dry, ever.)

This was from a very happy time in my life. We moved from the farm to a small town and sans sheep lanolin in the air I had NO MIGRAINES.  It was still a difficult time, I was working like a dog, home day care and still trying to be the good Rasta style wife, baking bread, doing everything "natural".  But I had friends and great community and our little software company was starting to look like it was going to make it...

And I was with my kids, no more leaving for work every day!

That was a pony tail on top of her head.  She was so funny.  She always wanted me to do her hair and I didn't have a clue.

(I fixed the one railroad tie that is near her elbow.) It's not the best painting but it has sentimental meaning for me.
