I found a grocery store that sells frozen croissants that you can defrost over night and pop in the oven.  For the lunch today with the mother of Future-Son-in-Law I offered to bring some so I got up early and now there is the most wonderful orfactory symphony going on around me!

I keep a box of 40 on hand for special occassions or when I run out of the bread that G.D. likes. (I can't eat that type of Wonderbread she prefers.)  I have, for fifteen years, never missed a morning of getting up and making coffee for the house, now only for G.D. and myself as Y.S. has managed to avoid the addiction.  For a while I had a bread maker but that has hit the dust bin.  It was close to wonderful while it lasted.

I must say, there is nothing more heavenly than the smell of fresh baked croissants and brewed coffee in the morning.  I think that if our civilization is buried suddenly in one of the many portrayed forms of destruction available, thanks to Hollywood, the saddest thing would be in my opinion, millenium from now when they dig up our ruins, is that now matter how accurately they paint life in Techno Rome, they will not know the blissful aroma of that glorious combination!

divaShe kept me company for many years, and purred loudly on my chest when I was recovering from chop chemo, I hope she has a good life, such a wonderful being will always find a way to be a comfort to someone.
