My desire to go puddle jumping was part of my three part fantasy day: Afternoon in Central Park with Robin Williams, dinner with Jerry Sienfeld and then cocktails in Paris with Johnny Depp. But even when I have had a chance to gush over a celebrity I have not. I am a shy person and I respect personal space.
It must have been exhausting to be nice to all the people who would want to have a picture with him in an airport or on the street and insist on him being OVER THE TOP all the time.
But as a very public person, I wish he could have talked about his depression, instead of continuously slapping himself in the face with a ham.
Add to that, any intelligent person can't help but despair these days and he has been describe as "the smartest person in the room".
"You look at the world and see how scary it can be sometimes...Comedy can deal with the fear. You say, OK, you got certain choices here, you can laugh at them and then once you've laughed at them and you have expunged the demon, now you can deal with them. That's what I do when I do my act." - Robin Williams.
But like all drugs, even comedy will let you down in the end.
