I don't have any good photos of the cakes I made last weekend, they got eaten but I was very pleased with how clean I got the edges of the cake I froze before icing.  I will have to plan the timing as well as how the heck to get a three tiered cake to the Toronto Islands without dropping it.  She has told me that Future Son doesn't want anything too girly so they would like the cake white.  That would be solved if only she would let me do a zombie cake instead.
